Automated Accessibility Remediation for Educational Material

Automatically improves alt text, reading order, contrast, slide titles, table headers, document language, and other common accessibility issues. Built for educators, universities, and government agencies facing ADA accessibility requirements. Upload your PPTX, DOCX, XLSX, or PDF and get a remediated version in seconds. Results should be verified in your document app's built-in accessibility checker.

Tested on real lecture slides and documents: handwritten math, embedded equations, circuit diagrams, geological maps, stepper motors, moon photos, engineering schematics, and more.

What does this tool do?

DocAble automatically fixes common accessibility issues in PowerPoint (.pptx), Word (.docx), and PDF files: missing alt text, missing titles, low-contrast text, incorrect reading order, missing table headers, document metadata, and more.

The goal is to improve access for all students and help documents better satisfy the accessibility checks in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.

This tool will not modify existing content. It only enhances the material to be usable by accessibility tools.

For PDFs, you can also use our free PDF accessibility editor to review and refine results manually.
